For concerts, festivals, conferences and celebrations we rent out PA systems with delivery, setup and tuning, and at important events our sound engineer sits at the console and runs the sound live. For spoken-word programs we choose systems where intelligibility comes first, because a conference is worth only as much as the speaker can be heard in the back row. The other half of the work is permanent installations. Cafés, restaurants and banquet halls get sound from us distributed evenly across zones, loud enough for a celebration and quiet enough for conversation. We also do shopping malls, museums, galleries, theatres and conference halls, and we adapt announcement and background music systems to premises from a single room to several floors. For permanent installations we hand over the system only after a trial under real conditions, with staff training, so the music and announcements are changed by a waiter or a receptionist, not a service technician. For companies that organize events frequently we also run the rental-versus-purchase numbers, because a permanent installation sometimes pays off after just a few seasons, and the equipment we rent comes from the same range we sell.

What drives the price of a sound system

The price is driven by the number of guests and the floor area, the type of program, the duration, and whether the system stays in the space or is taken down after the event. Sound for speech and sound for a band are not the same class of equipment, just as a hall with curtains and a glass gallery where every note bounces are not the same task.
