Projectors and video projection for halls, events and venues
A projector is the only part of an AV system bought on trust, because its true value shows only when the lights come on and the audience takes its seats. At Prolight we sell and rent projectors and accompanying video equipment, and with the device always comes what actually makes the image, the choice of lens, the screen, the mount, the signal processing and the person who sets it all up. So with us you are not buying a specification from a table, but projection you can actually see. We work with devices from the world's leading manufacturers and know what each model can really do in real conditions, not in the brochure.
Projection for halls, venues and events
In conference rooms and business premises the projector is a tool for every working day, so we choose it according to the size of the room, the daylight and the viewing distance. Museums and galleries get projections for exhibitions and video installations from us, cinemas and banquet halls a large-format image, and cafés and restaurants projection for match broadcasts and themed evenings. We also do home cinemas, because the same rules of the game apply to a living room, just on a smaller scale. For conferences, concerts, exhibitions and open-air screenings we rent out equipment with delivery, connection and a test before the start, and for more demanding setups we do synchronization of multiple projectors, edge blending and projection onto glass or a building facade. Projection mapping turns a wall, a sculpture or a whole building into a moving image, so it is increasingly requested for openings, anniversaries and installations meant to be remembered.
How we choose a projector
Customers most often ask us how many lumens their hall needs. The answer depends on three things, the light in the space, the size of the image and the distance it is viewed from. A hall filled with daylight calls for a considerably stronger light output than a darkened cinema, and the same image from five meters and from twenty meters is not the same image. So before quoting we calculate the light output, the angle and the distance, visit the location if needed, and then propose the device and the lens that suit that space. When the space is bright and the image has to be large and striking, we will honestly tell you that an LED screen is the better choice, because we sell both, so we have no reason to push you into the wrong option.
Rental with a complete service
With event rental the price includes delivery, setup, cabling and connection to the signal source, an image test before the start and a technician who makes sure everything works during the program. We choose the screen according to the format of the content, and for presentations where laptops take turns we add signal processing that brings every source into line, so speakers switch over without pauses and black screens. If you are equipping a hall permanently, we install the projector with the mount and cables hidden from view, connect it to the sound and lighting and set the whole system to wake with a single button. For open-air screenings we also account for weather conditions and equipment protection, and at events where interruption is not an option a backup unit stands ready next to the main one.
Purchase or rental, with support afterwards
For a hall that uses projection every week a purchase quickly pays off, while for a few events a year rental with a complete service is more rational. With us both options are in the same place, with the same equipment and the same people, so you get the comparison in concrete numbers for your case. The typical market offer stops at delivering the box; ours is only warming up there, installation and calibration, training for the people who will operate the system, a backup unit at important events and a service that accepts projectors even when they were not bought from us. When needed we tie projection together with sound and lighting into one system run by a single remote, not a drawer full of them. We work in Belgrade and across Serbia, and the equipment and the crew travel to projects across Europe and Asia as well.
Describe the space and what the audience needs to see, and we will propose a projection setup with a price and a timeline, with no obligation and no technical jargon. Let's talk about your project while it is still on paper; that is when the right measure is easiest to hit.
